Robotephant

The Librarian is a height/weight accurate, partially functional, proto-robotic, steam-powered elephant - and another of Dayglow's misguided attempts to play God (Mach II). Robotephant is the keeper of all information relating to the Neon Monsters. Comprised primarily of corroded tire-rubber and rusted car-bumpers, Robotephant has, in place of organs, an immense hard drive - capable of storing all of Dayglow's scientific reasearch, with plenty of room left over for his illicit surveillance footage and his vast collection of internet videos featuring dogs with barks that sound like they're saying cute things. This elephant is the most coveted object, alive or dead, that resides in The Facility. It is the key that unlocks Dayglow's 40 years of perpetually tedious and sometimes unnecessary research. A fail-safe in Robotephant's programming causes him to stampede whenever he is outside, causing as many difficulties for potential captors as it does for Dayglow, who often forgets the fail-safe and insists that Robotephant needs sunshine and fresh air. The hard drive is periodically backed up to a super secret database in Helsinki....oops. Robotephant never forgets - except when his hard-drive gets corrupted.
